The Marketing Collective
Your data

Where your information lives

The full, honest picture of where your material goes and who handles it. This is a factual description of the system as it runs today. For the pilot it sits alongside an interim Privacy Notice and interim Terms of Use; the full versions are being prepared with The Marketing Collective's legal advisors and will replace them once ready.

Who handles your data

Four services, and nobody else. No analytics trackers, no advertising tools, no error-reporting services.

  • Supabase stores the platform's database and files (currently on servers in Singapore, moving to Sydney).
  • Vercel runs the application on its infrastructure in Sydney, and is a United States company.
  • Anthropic provides the AI that helps draft your content (United States). Your material is sent to it to do that work, and is not used to train its models.
  • Resend delivers the platform's emails (United States).

Each time content is generated, the relevant parts of your brand references, your conversation and your results figures are what is sent to Anthropic to do that work. Feedback you send travels by email and is also saved in the platform, so it reaches us even if the email fails.

Your files are not kept

Documents, spreadsheets, screenshots and scans are read while you upload them and then discarded. Only the text you confirm is saved. There is no file archive.

Please leave some things out

Please don't upload health information or anything a client has told you in confidence; that stays between you and them. And please leave out anything you would rather not have processed overseas.

Who can see your material

You, in your own private area: the separation between members is enforced by the database itself. The TMC programme owner can see your material in that role, and every such access is written to a record that nobody can edit or delete. The developer can access the system for support and incident response.

What you can remove yourself

Any brand reference and your logo: removing one deletes it outright. Campaigns: archive first, then delete permanently from the archive, which destroys the campaign's conversation with it.

Removing your brand conversation, your results entries, or your whole account isn't self-service yet. Ask The Marketing Collective and it will be removed by hand. Copies in the database provider's routine backups persist until those age out.

What you accepted, and when

Before you can use the platform you're asked to read the Terms of Use and the Privacy Notice and accept them. When you do, we store four things against your account: which document, which version of it, the exact sentence you ticked, and the moment you ticked it. We don't store your IP address or anything about your device alongside it.

If either document changes you'll be asked again, and shown that it changed rather than asked cold. Ask us any time and we'll send you your record. It goes when your account goes.

Signing out

The sign out control in the menu ends your session in the browser you're using. If you're on a shared computer, use it.
